Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
The rules of the game, written by humans (and proofread by a parrot). These terms apply when you use this website or order from The Thought Department ("we", "us", "the people who get way too excited about wrapping paper"), run by Mrityunjay [surname / legal name]. By placing an order, you agree to them. Kiwi agrees to them every morning in exchange for a grape.
1. What we actually sell
Personalised gifting experiences: a box built around one specific human, with a main gift, mystery extras, something printed about them, and optional add-ons like a custom song or a challenge game. The sample boxes on the site are concepts to show you the idea — your box will be built around your person, not copy-pasted from a picture.
2. Your order
- An order is confirmed once payment succeeds. We then message you on WhatsApp to confirm the details and a delivery date — like a friend, but with a spreadsheet.
- If you name a main gift, we'll source it if it exists, is available and fits the box's budget. If it doesn't, we'll suggest alternatives or a different box before we start. No nasty surprises — only the good kind.
- "Mystery extras" are chosen by us. That's what makes them mysterious. Items may differ from any examples shown.
- You're responsible for telling us accurate things about the recipient and the address. If you tell us they love cats and they're actually terrified of cats, that one's on you.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are on our Pricing page and at checkout. Payments are handled securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card details — honestly, we don't want the responsibility.
4. Custom songs and voices
- Songs are made for private, personal use as part of your gift. Sing it at the party, play it on repeat, cry a little. Please don't release it commercially.
- Own-voice songs are made only from your own voice, with your consent. We will not clone your ex, your boss, a celebrity or your neighbour's dog.
- Don't send us content you don't have the right to use, or anything hateful or unlawful. We'll politely decline it.
5. Challenge games
Challenge games are meant to be playful. We won't design anything unsafe, humiliating or violent, and we may tweak an idea you send so it stays fun for everyone. No bungee jumping. No fire. Not even a little bit of fire.
6. Cancellations, refunds and shipping
Every box is built for one person, so orders can't be cancelled once placed, and refunds are only given for a main gift that arrives not working (reported within 3 days of delivery). Please order at least 2 weeks before the occasion. The full details live in our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.
7. Liability (the serious bit)
We take great care with every box. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for happy tears, spontaneous hugs, or the recipient demanding you gift them like this every year.
8. The website
The games, the flying gifts and the bird are here for fun. Please don't try to break them, copy them, or use the site for anything unlawful. Kiwi is watching. (Kiwi is mostly watching snacks.)
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in [your city] have jurisdiction. We'd much rather sort things out over WhatsApp, though.
10. Changes
We may update these terms now and then. The date at the top tells you when we last did.
